The Hanseatic City of Germany, Lubeck is the 2nd largest city in Schleswig-Holstein, located in northern Germany. The city is also one of the major ports of the country which is situated on the Trave River. Lubeck has remained popular because of its extensive Brick Gothic architecture for several centuries that is also listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site. The old part of the city is composed of an island which is enclosed by the Trave. Historically, Lubeck was an important independent city that brought considerable wealth as the capital of Hanseatic League. Trade on the Baltic Sea has always been impressive not for the economy but for tourism as well due to its scenic harbors, warehouse, museums, shops, restaurants and pubs at the embankment of Sea. warehouse-in-lubeck.jpg
