Copenhagen Cathedral
On the very site that the Copenhagen cathedral is located the unique area has housed several churches since the year 1209. The cathedral has been rebuilt for record time of four times after the first great time of limestone which was placed on the highest spot in town. The church was burnt down and was reconstructed in the year 1316. The great church was razed down by fire in the year 1728 together with other five churches in Copenhagen and it was rebuilt in 1738 and finally during the bombardment in 1738 of Copenhagen in 1807 when the spire was hit by a Congreve rocket and nearly burnt the church down to the ground.
